Where are Ngaarlu soft tapestries made?

Ngaarlu tapestries are designed on Bundjalung Country, Australia and woven in North Carolina, United States, using recycled cotton jacquard. This process allows us to maintain both high quality and environmental responsibility.

What materials are used?

Our soft tapestries are made from 95% cotton (75% recycled). The jacquard weave gives each piece a rich texture, with colour and detail drawn from Otis Hope Carey’s original artworks.

How should I care for my soft tapestry?

Our tapestries are woven with a sustainable blend of cotton and recycled cotton. They're breathable.

Gentle, cold, machine wash. Air dry in shade.

Much like a nice denim jacket, Ngaarlu soft tapestries only get softer the more they are used and washed.

Can I hang my soft tapestry as wall art?

Yes, Ngaarlu tapestries are artworks in their own right. Many people choose to display them at home. We recommend using a wooden textile hanger, curtain rod or invisible clip system to preserve the weave. Avoid adhesives or nails directly through the fabric.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping times and costs vary depending on your location and will be calculated at checkout.

How long will my order take?

The debut textile collection will begin dispatch from the week of 1 Dec 2025.

Delivery times vary:

  • Australia: 3 - 7 business days
  • International: 7 - 14 business days

Is your packaging sustainable?

Yes, all Ngaarlu packaging is plastic-free, recyclable and designed to protect your piece without excess.

Can I return or exchange my soft tapestry?

Because of the limited nature of our collections, we do not offer returns for change of mind. If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and we’ll make it right.
